Beschluss des Volkes, MelanthosS.d. Emprepon stellte den Antrag: Worüber schriftlich beantragteAlkiades S.d. Molpos, dass Philistos S.d. Nikarchosaus Kos, der als Arzt zahlreichen BürgernHilfe erwiesen hat, belobigt und bekränzt werde,wie es Rat und Volk beschließen, undihm die Proxenie gegeben werde: Da Philis-tos S.d. Nikarchos aus Kos als Arzt stets alle Hilfeerweist gemäß der ärztlichenKunst und zahlreichen Bürgern, die sichauf Kos aufhielten - die einen als Festgesandtevom Volk ausgeschickt, die anderenaus privaten Gründen nach Kos gekommen -und sich gefährliche Krankheiten zugezogen hatten,mit allem Ehrgeiz erretteteund auch den anderen Bürgern, dienach Kos kommen, viel Hilfe erweistund es nicht an Eifer fehlen lässt, ihnenAnnehmlichkeiten zu verschaffen, und sich stetsum alles kümmert, worum auch immer ihn einerbittet; - damit nun auch wir in sichtbarer Weise den-jenigen, die uns Wohltaten zu erweisen planen, angemessenenDank abstatten, (möge man beschließen): dass man belobige Philis-tos S.d. Nikarchos aus Kos und ihn bekränzemit goldenem Kranz bei den Dionysien an den Tragödienaufführungen- - -
